4TH QUARTER 2015

As part of its expanded public relationship with security and other bodies as well as private sectors rendering health care services, the office was represented by the Deputy Registrar at Yundum Army Barracks on 7th October to attend the decoration of their newly promoted officers which included some of their Nurses/Midwives. On the other hand the Registrar attended the long awaited graduation ceremony of Community Health Nurses/Midwives (CHNM) at the school complex on 7th November, 2015. Shortly after the above graduation ceremony was the sort listing of over 900 application forms of the 2015 S.E.N/M applicants. This was followed by three consecutive days of interview of over 390 candidates interviewed on the 10th, 11th and 12th November respectively. The list was finalized on 10th December and the panelist also agreed to increase the number to 80 and divided the set into two equal halves; the first batch already started January and the other to start in April 2016. The Registrar represented the Council as the Chief Examiner at the final exam of the SEN/M School’s September 2013 class of 52 prospective candidates from 23rd to 27th November with the class registering 100% pass. Similar exercise was conducted at the RN/M School for the final Practical exam of the Jan 2013 nursing intake of 56 candidates on 8th and 9th December 2015 with only two referred candidates. Council finally wrapped up its activities with the appointment of an Accounts Clerk responsible of its financial activities before proceeding to observe the 2015 X- Mas / New Year recess from 21st December 2015 to 3rd January 2016.
